What do I need to publish my Legal Notice?
If you are publishing a Name Change, Fictitious Business Name, Probate or Summons, YOU MUST USE THE FORM you received from the Court or LA County respectively. Please note: Outlook Newspapers only publishes notices filed in Los Angeles County.
Q. Where do legal notices placed in the Outlook Newspapers appear?
Legal notices placed with Outlook Newspapers appear in print in the newspaper of general circulation you choose or the closest publication where your business occurs.
Q. What if I need to make a change to a legal notice prior to publication?
If you need to change a legal notice prior to the notice appearing in the newspaper, using the self-service application, simply log into your account and make the appropriate changes and resubmit the legal notice. You must make the change BEFORE the publication deadline.
Q. Is the preview an accurate representation of how the notice will look in the newspaper?
Yes, the preview that is provided of your completed legal notice is how it will appear in the newspaper.

Outlook Newspapers will issue your affidavit proof of publication based on this proof Outlook Newspapers cannot assume responsibility for court rejections due to discrepancies between submitted information and published notice
What happens when the publication run is completed?After publication, an affidavit proof of publication will be emailed to you. You will need to e-file or submit in person the proof of publication to the requesting clerk. For Fictitious Business Name affidavits, you may submit them here: https://apps.lavote.gov/#/fbnlookup
Q. Will you bill me for the cost of the legal notice?
All legal advertising must be prepaid using a credit card prior to checkout, unless you have an established account with Outlook Newspapers. PLEASE NOTE: Outlook Newspapers will not issue full refunds for orders canceled past the publication deadline.
Q. Can I work on my legal notice and save it without submitting it?
Yes, you may build the notice and save it for later. You will be prompted to create an account so you can log in later to finish and submit the notice.
Q. What if I miss the deadline for a publication?
Unfortunately, you will need to choose the next available date. If the date is unavailable on your screen, the deadline has passed.
Q. How will I know how much the legal notice will cost?
As you create the legal notice, you will see the cost in the upper right-hand corner of the page.
