INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUBMITTING A LEGAL NOTICE FOR PUBLICATION IN OUTLOOK NEWSPAPERS
If you are publishing a Name Change, Fictitious Business Name, Probate or Summons, YOU MUST USE THE FORM you received from the Superior Court or LA County respectively. For all other notices, you can copy and paste the content directly on one of the two templates under the OTHER category.
Please note: Outlook Newspapers only publishes notices filed in Los Angeles County.
Name Change
Publication of an Order to Show Cause for Change of Name requires filing with the Superior Court first. If you haven't done so, please go here first https://selfhelp.courts.ca.gov/name-change
Please have your completed NC-120 or NC-125 form readily available before proceeding. You will need it to input the information on our ad portal form. Your NC-120 must have a valid case number, court hearing information including court branch name, address, department as well as hearing date and time and the name of the judge.
Your answers on our ad portal form must match exactly to the corresponding fields in your NC-120 form.
Fictitious Business Name (DBAs)
To publish a DBA (Doing Business As) in Outlook Newspapers, you are required to provide the Fictitious Business Name Statement filed with the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk. This statement must have been filed no more than 30 days prior to the first scheduled publication date in our newspaper. Please have this document readily accessible, as you will need to input specific information from it into our online form.
Ensure all information entered into our form matches the corresponding fields on your Fictitious Business Name Statement exactly. This includes, but is not limited to, accurate file number, the names and addresses of all registered owners, and the filing date with the County Clerk.

Petition for Probate
If you filed a Petition for Probate with the Superior Court, you are required to publish the DE-121 form for 3 consecutive weeks. Your DE-121 form must have a valid case number, court hearing information including the court's full address and department as well as the hearing date and time. The name and address of The Petitioner or Attorney for the petitioner are also required.
Your answers on our ad portal form must match exactly to the corresponding fields in your DE-121 form.
